The problem of forming a knowledge base for an expert system in one particular weakly-structured subject area, psychological diagnosis, is considered. A general methodology is proposed for constructing a knowledge base using special procedures for extracting knowledge from experts. The high efficiency of expert systems in psychodiagnosis is noted; this simplifies the work of qualified psychologists in writing psychological conclusions and allows mass studies to be made in systems of professional training and in clinical work.
