The article analyzes the features of intercultural interaction between the Kamchatka Territory of Russia and the People’s Republic of China in order to determine a set of tools for overcoming obstacles in order to ensure unhindered intercultural dialogue between the subject of Russia and China. International humanitarian cooperation is an important element of the foreign policy of the Russian Federation. In accordance with the Concept of Humanitarian Policy of the Russian Federation Abroad, the international humanitarian sphere includes cooperation on the following tracks: culture; physical culture and sports; tourism; youth cooperation. These aspects contribute to the formation of an objective image of Russia abroad. In this period of “stable instability”, alternative forms of diplomacy are becoming relevant: public, digital, sports, tourist and cultural, etc. Intercultural interaction between the Russian Far East, in particular the Kamchatka Territory, and the PRC is characterized by unique features due to historical, economic and cultural factors, which is manifested in the synergy of traditional practices, the adaptation of modern technologies and the formation of new humanitarian ties/practices that contribute to the mutual enrichment of cultures and the development of regional cooperation, but this is hindered by certain barriers that need to be overcome. By decision of the leadership of Russia and China, 2024–2025 have been declared the Years of Culture of the two countries. This is emphasized by the geopolitical friendliness of Russia and China with an emphasis on the strategic partnership of the states and the established contacts.
