Copper specimens at different structural states (different annealing temperatures) have been tested under impact loading carried out with application of the pulse laser radiation. Results of testing are presented. Strength characteristics (dynamic elasticity limit, strengthening) are analyzed for their dependence on the grain size and annealing temperature. These dependencies are found to differ essentially from the previously known ones obtained at longterm quasi - static and dynamic tests.
