The results are given of investigation of copper specimens (different annealing temperatures) in impact loading done with use of pulsed laser radiation, an analysis is given of the relationship of the characteristics of strength (dynamic elastic limit, strengthening) to grain size and annealing temperature, and a significant difference in these relationships from those earlier known and obtained in quasistatic and dynamic tests of longer duration is established.
