N2 - Geohistorical analysis of anomalous magnetic field showed that the region of Alpha Ridge and adjacent to it Canadian basin was formed as result of slow ocean bottom spreading in the Late Jurassic-Berriassic. Kinematical characteristic of spreading require contraction stresses in the very north of Greenland and tensile stresses within Queen Elizabeth Islands in Late Jurassic-Berriassic that is not contradictory to their geological structure.
