Digital technologies are profoundly changing our daily life, our way of working and doing business, the way we understand and use our natural resources and environment and the way people interact, communicate and educate themselves. The article is devoted to the processes of digitalization of the EU economy in the skill mismatch and pandemic situation context. Measures on the part of European communitarian bodies and governments to support this new direction of scientific and technological progress are being considered.
