The electrical properties of glasses in the AgI-As2Te 3 system are investigated by impedance spectroscopy and the Wagner and Tubandt methods. The glasses containing more than 40 mol % AgI possess a mixed electronic-ionic conductivity. It is found that the introduction of the ionogenic component suppresses hole conduction in the glass.
