The article deals with the conceptual foundations of the “green renewal” policy, one of the utmost post-pandemic strategies in Latin America. The key fields, in which that policy is being put into practice, are exposed. The authors inquire into the reasons for working out long-term plans to get over the dire outcomes of the coronavirus pandemic according to the steady development principles. They highlight the main documents of some international organizations (World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, ECLAC, etc.) on this topic. In their opinion, the idea of "green renewal" is quite promising, as it uses the potential of the change in the development trend. However, a systematic approach, flexible and decisive leadership as well as responsible business-dealing are necessary. That's why for now we can only behold its theoretical framing instead of a full-fledged carrying out.
