Conditions are formulated for the occurrence of free vibrations in nonlinear discrete systems. They correspond to the frequency conditions for the existence of free vibrations in steady systems as stated in an article by V. S. Yakubovskiy et al. in the Soviet journal ″Avtomatika; Telemekhanika″ , No. 2, 1972.
