N2 - Authors have investigated the influence of hydraulic resistance of the external channel on the efficiency of an EHD generator. Also examined was the effect of the dielectric material, i. e. , the channel, on the EHD flow kinematics and dynamics. Measurements were taken in a very simple system consisting of two parallel wire electrodes having a 0. 3-mm diameter and 2. 5-mm length. The measurements were carried out in a Plexiglas tank whose dimensions were 100 multiplied by 150 multiplied by 25 mm.
