The effect of temperature on retention of volatile organic substances from aqueous solutions by nonpolar polymeric sorbents is considered in terms of a model of liquid-gas-adsorption chromatography. An increase in the retention volume for sorption of a number of polar organic substances from aqueous solutions with increasing temperature is revealed and explained.
