The effect of light on the magnetic properties of semiconductors regarding charge carriers were investigated. The magnetic properties of semiconductor compounds of transition and rare-earth elements depend substantially on the density of mobile carriers. If the spin of an atom to which the crystal is transferred, the exchange energy between the electron and the magnetic atom after transfer is not changed and remains minimum. It was found that the exchange interaction leads to the formation of magnetic polarons and excitons.
