N2 - The chapter is subdivided into three parts. In Part I we study the dynamics of a loaded Stewart platform by means of classical methods of theoretical mechanics: the theorem of the center of mass and the law of moment of momentum in relative motion with respect to the mass center. In Part II, the dynamics of a Stewart platform is considered by applying a special form of differential motion equations. In Part III, the statics of a 3-rod Stewart platform is studied using the Lagrange equations of the second kinds.
