N2 - Electrooptical Kerr effect and dielectric polarization were studied for poly-N-vinylpyrrolidone solutions in chloroform and in mixed chloroform-CCl 4 solvent. The results were compared with those for an analogue of the monomeric unit of poly-N-vinylpyrrolidone, low-molecular-weight compound N-methyl-pyrrolidone.
