Ultrasound examination (USE) was performed in 84 patients with tumours of eye vascular membranes, computerized tomography (CT) - in 46 patients, magneto-resonance tomography (MRT) - in 33 patients. USE information value was shown to be significantly higher than CT and MRT. Sensitivity of USE was 95%, sensitivity of CT was 85% and for MRT sensitivity was 75%. Sensitivity of USE in revealing concomitant retinal detachment was shown to achieve 100% and in case of CT it was practically 0. CT was shown to be of most information value in patients with extensive orbit tumours. CT sensitivity was 92.5%, for USE - 73%, for MRT - 67%.
