N2 - IntroductionModern university education is characterized by new programmes pointed to development of students’ self-directed work, which helps to form professional competences, to develop personal qualities such as flexibility, mobility and readiness for lifelong learning. Such requirements are consistent with a notion of personality as a self-organizing system which is a part of synergy. However, concepts and categories of synergy are developed well in science, e.g. physics, mathematics, and there are some problems transferring them to such complex systems as a personality and psycho. That is why it is very important to develop an idea of self-organization in psychology and pedagogy. In this article some concepts and categories of synergy in educational sphere are presented, namely in techniques workshop- and project-learning. Based on the self-organization idea we create an educational project “Self-organization and communication”. The main goals of this project are to open the meaning of self-organization concepts by modern educational techniques.MethodologyDesigning of the project “Self-organization and communication” was founded on the psychological and pedagogical principles based on the self-organization theory. There are principles of the subject activity, personality development, unity of rational and irrational.Training methods: a creative workshop and techniques of research activity.DiscussionThe project has been divided into three parts. In the first part it was a lecture on the self-organization problems. There were considered some concepts, e.g. system, self-organizing system and its basic properties. The second part of the project was devoted to introducing the basics of planning and goals setting to students. A creative workshop was used there. The third part of the project was integration of existing knowledge of students on a self-regulation model by O. A. Konopkin and principles of time-management. Students have analyzed different situations of goals setting and planed ways of their achievemet. There were 67 students from St. Petersburg State University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Actobe State University, University of Vienna. The main effects of this project are knowledge of students in time-management, skills in verbalization of images, self-analysis, and communication.ConclusionsIndeed principles of synergy in education are defined by increased demands to personality making responsible decisions, acting in nonstandard manner but socially acceptable in nonstandard situations. However students often face problems doing critical reading, evaluating the study material, building productive interaction, overcoming the dead-line psychology, presenting the results of their research studies. The answers to these questions are in the field of pedagogy of personality development based on the methodology of workshop- and project-learning according to new standards and challenges of reality.
