N2 - This article describes the experimental and theoretical studies of the mechanisms of failure of ABS polymer in the range of strain rates of 10–4–103 s–1 at different temperatures of testing (from an ambient temperature of 23 to 100°C). The alteration of the type of failure as a function of the strain rate and temperature is analyzed. Based on the structure–time approach, a model of the temperature–rate superposition is proposed.
