Abstract: The mass surface of odd nuclei is studied in the form of second-order polynomials in deviations from N and Z of an odd nucleus. It is shown that the polynomial coefficients depend on the group of atomic nuclei in the vicinity of N and Z according to which these coefficients are determined.
