A relationship is established between the kinematics of EHD flow and the initial concentration of the ion composition in the liquid. Tests were conducted using specially prepared mixtures, consisting of a base of pure transformer oil or castor oil with the addition of small quantities ( similar 1 to 10%) of additives of polarized substances which were dissolved in the base liquids. It was determined that the viscosity and dielectric permeability of these mixtures differed very little from the corresponding characteristics of the base oil, whereas the conductivities of the solutions varied very significantly. The experiment used a large group of liquids having a range of conductivity of variation extending over six orders of magnitude from 10** minus **1**2 to 10** minus **6 ( OMEGA multiplied by (times) m)** minus **1.
