N2 - This comparative research aims to meet the needs of the international Performing Arts professionals, interested in delivering a relevant, contemporary, and engaging curriculum that combines the educational principles of the Classical University and the requirements needed for the survival of the Performing Arts in the digital epoch. Regardless of the pandemic restrictions, an increasing internationalization of Performing Arts Education urges the creation of new methodological approaches in curriculum design, taking into account the boundaries of Digital and Distance learning.In view of this, the authors identified key areas, compared, and analyzed to reflect actual curriculum changes in Russia and the EU. To survive in the post-pandemic reality, Performing Arts practitioners are to be equipped with the exact competencies, sufficient to combine the Performer, Educator, and Researcher roles. Language and cross-cultural understanding proficiency is the key priority, described and developed according to the following learning areas: Piano, Opera and Music Theatre, Chamber Singing. This research is also focused on person-to-person skills transfer and its embodiment via digital educational tools.The overall goal is to elaborate the model of the innovative and academically strong curriculum for the set of new Master Joint Degree Programmes, which are an important part of St. Petersburg University's and its partners' network strategy for the 10 years perspective. Acclaimed in national, regional, and global dimensions, the updated Performing Arts Education programmes enrich the actual cultural landscape. The proposed coherent framework reflects the opened diverse educational perspectives and can be used as a benchmark to adopt worldwide in order to expand knowledge reproduction in the fields of Arts, Culture, and Education.
