N2 - Abstract: A possible correlation between the production of a particle in a region outside the pN kinematics (the so-called cumulative region) in pA collisions and the yield of both strange and heavy-flavor particles is studied. The emission of a particle in the cumulative region is considered as a trigger confirming the participation in the process of a dense few-nucleon cluster—“flucton”, which from the modern point of view can be considered as a multi-quark bag. Using the string fusion model, we analyze the fragmentation of the flucton remnant after particle emission in the cumulative region. We evaluate the increase in the yield of strange and charmed particles due to the fusion of strings attached to the flucton residue. We also discuss the possibility of experimental observation of the given phenomenon both in experiments on a fixed target and in low-energy collider experiments.
