A more general class of dynamical systems called the Controlled Pendulum is introduced which in its specialization has both the Controlled Duffing and Lorenz models. We develop the system of equations for a general class of pendulum type systems. By introducing new observables we demonstrate that these models exhibit order in chaos. Finally, we use discrete methods to extract information about the nature of the dynamical system.
