Starting from the non-abelian gauge theory with Weyl fermions we construct several examples of consistent gauge theories without anomaly by introducing scalar fields into the original theory. As a result, the Salam-Weinberg lagrangian in the unitary gauge emerges in a natural way. We calculate the scalar field interaction which is required by consistency when the Salam-Weinberg theory is considered in arbitrary gauge.
