It was established that the content of colony-forming units (CFUs) in bone marrow of mice surviving acute radiation affection is lower as compared to the controls. When exposed donors were used the colonies in the recipient's spleen were reliably smaller in size. There were no variations between the experiment and the control in the classification of colonies. The mitotic indices in the colonies of the erythroid and myeloid types were also similar in the experimental and control groups.
