The paper based on the data of sociological research examines attitudes to Cold War cinematic images of US and Soviet military in contemporary Russia. The author demonstrates that the images of US and Soviet military as well as Americans and Soviet people are stable. Contemporary Russians evaluated Cold war cinematic heroes in the frame of ethnic and gender stereotyping. The paper shows difference in evaluating Our and Their military and the dependence of respondents‟ opinion on their age
