Some modern trends in the development of contemporary passive radio methods of storm location are discussed. Storm-location clusterization algorithms that permit the analysis and representation of the spatial-temporal structure of developing storm activity on different scales (an individual storm cell, a storm cloud, and a mesoscale storm complex) are also considered. These algorithms also enable us to estimate the current stage of the development of corrective systems and some accompanying phenomena (heavy precipitation, squall, hail) in real time by relating the registered pulsed electromagnetic radiation from lightning flashes to isolated storm clusters.
