Throughout the second half of the 20th century, many developed countries started to raise concerns about environmental protection. Mostly it resulted from such crucial phenomena as scientific and technological progress and fast industrial development. Since then, states have been becoming more involved in environmental issues, and climate change now is one of the most important among them. Considering that the United Nations organization is one of the largest international bodies and it has a crucial role in the area of sustainable development and climate change. The goal of this paper is to analyze the issue of climate change in the scope of the UN activity and a scenario of possible ways of solving the problem.
