This study analyzes long-term values of the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) in the N'Zerekore Province of Guinea. Spatial patterns of NDVI distribution are examined over a recent ten-year period. This index is used because satellite observations allow for continuous monitoring of vegetation, which physiologically responds to moisture levels. Vegetation patterns were determined for the period from
2014 to 2023, and areas where moisture levels are determined by a drought regime were identified based on their phenological rhythm. In addition to average annual DVI values, monthly NDVI values were also analyzed for the years under study. These data allowed us to identify patterns of seasonal moisture fluctuations in the N'Zerekore Province. These data allowed us to identify the driest months and months with a high moisture coefficient. The obtained values provide an opportunity to select optimal
areas for growing crops and planning agricultural practices.
