The fine-tuning principles for estimating heavy-particle masses in the left-right-symmetric model are analyzed. The Veltman condition is modified on the basis of the hypothesis that fermion and boson vacuum energies are compensated within the multiplets of the left-right model. The hypothesis is supplemented with the requirement of stability under rescaling. On the basis of these requirements, it is shown that the right-handed Majorana neutrinos with masses on the order of the mass of right-handed gauge bosons must exist, and the top-quark mass is estimated. The resulting estimate is in good agreement with the experimental value.
