The analytical and Monte Carlo methods for calculation of the spatial distribution of the energy deposited by electron beam into a flow are developed both for uniform and nonuniform flows. Influence of the electric field generated by uncompensated space charge on the e-beam propagation is analyzed. The need to develop the self-consistent approach for describing the flow control in using the e-beam energy deposition is demonstrated.
