Globalization promotes the conflicting processes of self-identification at both state and individual levels. Is Russia Europe, the part of Eurasia, or a Special Civilization? The answer to this question is given at the level of both geopolitics and daily life. The aim of this study is to identify and analyze strategies for constructing a European identity at the level of an individual way of life and lifestyle. To be a European means to live like Europeans. The subject of empirical research is young Russians temporarily or permanently residing in Spain. The methodological basis of the study is a turn to existential everyday life and situational analysis. The research strategy is participating in observation.
