The intertextual distance measure proposed by J. Burrows (Burrows's Delta and its variants) and its application to authorship attribution of some novels in Russian are under discussion. The research aim is to test classic (Burrows's) Delta and Eder's Delta, which implemented in stylo package for computational text analysis developed for the R software environment. The novels “Twelve Chairs” and “Golden Calf”, officially attributed to Soviet writers I. Ilf and E. Petrov, are the research material.
