Reactions of zinc nitrate with 2-iodobenzoic acid (2-IBA) and different pyridines result in binuclear Znⁱⁱ carboxylate complexes [Zn₂(2-IBA)₄L₂], where L = Py, 3-MePy and 3,5-Me₂Py, while in the case of 2,4,6-Me₃Py, trinuclear (2,4,6-Me₃PyH)₂[Zn₃(2-IBA)₆(OH)₂] is formed.
