1. A graphical method was proposed for the conformational analysis of aromatic compounds, based on a comparison of the molar Kerr constants of p-substituted aryl derivatives - the method of "isoconstant maps." 2. A trans-configuration of aziridines - adducts of dichlorocarbene with certain benzylidine anilines - was established on the basis of the dipole moments. 3. Structures with C- and N-aryl substitution are noticeably distorted in comparison with the simplest analogs.
