The basics of the methodology for assessing the ecological and water quality of the Neva Bay status of a water object are considered. Results for assessment of trophic status in the Gulf of Finland of the Baltic sea are described. Evaluation scales are plotted on a generalization of the results of monitoring research Roshydromet of the Neva bay. Assessments are based on the integral indicators of trophic status (IITS) and integral indicators of water quality (IIWQ).
