Experimental studies have been carried out to determine the mechanical properties of additive material made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic under quasistatic and dynamic loads. The strength curve, describes the nonlinear dependence of the critical stress on the rate of deformation, was constructed with the criterion of incubation time. The value of the characteristic incubation time is determined, by comparing the theoretical curve with the experimental data.
