A new method for determining the interfacial tension based on comparison of experimental data and simulation results of droplet electrodeformation is proposed. The interfacial tension for pair of liquids is obtained. To simulate the deformation of a conducting liquid droplet in a liquid dielectric under the action of the electric field, the moving mesh method is used. Simulation results of droplet deformation are experimentally verified. The experimental setup, in which edge effects are eliminated, is designed.
