The article examines verbal form is seeing in the light of biocognitivism. According to the approach, language is not a self-sufficing sign system, but a kind of cognitive activity of a person oriented to adaptation to the environment. Thus this verbal form is analyzed as a linguistic representation of direct experience of a person as a conceptualizer.
