The paper presents the unknown creative work of the positivist philosopher I. A. Borichevsky dedicated to the Epicurean epistemology his thesis "The Epicurean logic. Epicurus' and Philodemus' Herculaneum papyri" (1938 1941). In it Borichevsky expounded not only Epicurean doctrine, but his own views on the role of philosophy and science on the basis of his translations of original ancient Greek papyri.
