The article features reports on Canadian issues presented at the XII Convention of the Russian International Studies Association (RISA), which was held on October 21-22, 2019 at MGIMO (University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. These presentations were included in the program of three sections. They addressed a wide range of issues related to various aspects of Canada’s home and foreign policy, Russian-Canadian relations, which were examined in the context of the results of the general elections held on October 21. A number of reports featured the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the Law on official languages in Canada and were devoted to the language policy of Canada and Québec.
