Social psychology is one of the areas of psychological investigations, which mostly faces the challenges of the modern world. In this paper we consider (1) changes in social reality, its temporal and spatial characteristics, (2) the corresponding changes in the ways of human interaction with outside world that are manifested in a change of life strategies, individualization of life scenarios, changing of value systems, and (3) development trends of the social psychology - the transformation of social psychology into fundamental science, expanding of its research area, changing methodologies and categorical apparatus, changing of a researchers position.
