The goal of the article is to follow the process of how the interest in the problem of migrants’ integration was appearing among Germany’s official political elite. The involvement of a foreign workforce in order to rebuild its economy that has been destroyed due to the Second World War became a crucial goal for german officials. There was a question concerning the integration of migrants on the agenda, and integration and migration politics were interdependent. Within the framework of this article, official documents in the area of migration and integration that have been adopted during the given period and that became a starting point for the future political integration of migrants in Germany are observed.
