In the article the influence of the Carribean missile crisis on the system of international relations is analyzed. It concludes that after the Carribean missile crisis the system of international relations has transformed to free bipolar model. The danger of global conflict has decreased; intensity of regional and local conflicts has increased. After the Carribean crisis more research was focused on foreign policy decisions’ issues.
