MERCOSUR countries have currently achieved a significant success becoming digital leaders in the region while presenting high rates of e-commerce growth. However, the digital transformation in these states faces certain challenges. The paper reveals the distinguishing features of the e-commerce development in Mercosur as well as analyzes problems of regulation in this field. Although governments of Mercosur states have implemented several political initiatives on digitalization in economic areas, further development requires digital integration in the framework of the whole union. Digital integration is an important factor for increasing countries’ competitiveness and deepening intraregional cooperation.
