The article is devoted to the key moments of the reformation of the House of Lords of Great Britain in the context of the adoption of the Act on life peers 1958. The article also reflects the positions of the opposing political forces of the time on the adoption of this act. In addition, the consequences of the adoption of this act and its impact on the House of Lords are shown.
