When the «Winter War» began, Finnish radio reconnaissance deployed a reliable system for intercepting coded messages sent by radio to the Soviet troops. As a result, the Finnish command was able to correctly determine the current plans of the Soviet command. This undoubtedly began to influence the overall unsuccessful development of the offensive of the Red Army and the disruption of the USSR’s basic initial military plans.
