The conservative newspaper “Okrainy Rossii” was found in 1906 as a press organ of the Regional Department of the Russian Assembly, later becoming the mouthpiece of the Russian outlying society. The authors turn to an analysis of editorial views on the economic aspects of imperial politics on those outskirts where the latter, in their opinion, most affected the interests of the Russian people and Russian state. In general, both political and economic journalism of “Okrainy Rossii” supported the Stolypin's course, which, however, did not exclude criticism of actions of both central and local authorities in the marginal issue.
