The article analyzes the economic and integration processes in East Asia in the 21st century and assesses the prospects for the development of the studied region. The article also considers the activities of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF), its place and role in the context of the development of the entire East Asian region.
