The article discusses one of the most significant episodes of the formation of financial capital in Russia during the First World War. The analysis of the struggle of banking monopolies for the predominance in the Joint-Stock Company of Bryansk Factory allows us to come to new conclusions regarding the position of the company and the balance of power in the Russian money market at the end of 1917.
