The mathematical description of damped vibrations of laminated anisotropic composite thin-walled beams of closed cross-section contour is proposed. Setting of the problem is based on the variation principle by Hamilton, corrected Timoshenko beam's theory and the elastic-viscoelastic correspondence principle in the linear theory of viscoelasticity. The elastic eigenvalue problem is solved on the basis of Ritz's method.
